Alternate Material Studio

B.A (Hons.), Fall 2021-2022

The studio aimed at evaluating the current building materials used and proposing new materials from objects found in their immediate surroundings. The proposed material would be a suggested alternate material that could be further developed into complex material systems. The students were exposed to properties and life cycle of the existing building materials and examine how new materials can impact the environment. The studio time assigned was 15 hours spanned over 15 weeks.
